OSR Sulfur Candida

A little book on my shelf is “The Survivor’s Nutritional Pharmacy” by Dr. Igram. Igram states that Sulfur has been used as an anti-parasitic agent since ancient times, and that sulfur, in the form of organic sulfur drops may prove to be a non-toxic agent for destroying a variety of parasites.

I find myself a bit confused right now. OSR is a sulfur man made chelator… and many parents of autistic children are finding that the kids go hyper yeasty on the stuff. I am having similar reactions… to the point where my scalp is itching like crazy. Also vaginal itching etc… and yet some people say that MSM kills yeast, so does garlic which is very high in sulfur, etc. My question is why some sulfurs seem to be beneficial and others are detrimental. Any thoughts on this?

I think I read somewhere that some yeasts give off sulfur, yet there is lots to suggest that sulfury things tend to kill yeast … so I guess I’m just confirming your quandary. Jock (aka JohnUK) from a few years back posted an article on sulfur loving bacteria in our guts. You might want to look that up.
